You both split time between Washington and Arizona. Does that ever feel hard moving around throughout the year or do you enjoy the different change of scenery?

Maria: Even though it’s a lot of work to pack things up and move back and forth, I adore being in both places. After growing up in Washington, I love the change of having a warmer winter in Arizona, but still being able to come home for the holidays and get my fill of the cold weather. However, Washington will always feel like home!! Especially in the spring and summer when everything is so green and beautiful!

Sierra: I LOVE moving back and forth. It breaks up the year and makes life more exciting. Washington and Arizona are so beautiful in their own ways and I have amazing friends in both places.

What are your favorite Summer activities?

Maria: I LOVE to spend as much time as possible in Lake Chelan, either sleeping outside with all my besties or jumping in the lake! It’s also a great time whenever we’re able to go out for a boat day or get in some surfing.

Sierra: I love to surf at Lakeside Surf all summer! I also love swing dancing, riding horses, and doing anything outside. I spend most of my summer in the lake and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

What are your favorite Winter activities?

Maria: I love to ski whenever I can, and get a coffee from one of my many favorite local spots in Wenatchee!

Sierra: My favorite winter activity is to go on vacation somewhere warm!

You both create such great content (especially summer content). Looking at your photos feels so nostalgic, and you each do a great job of capturing that summer vibe. Did you grow up taking photos? Is it something y’all have always been doing or is it a new hobby?

Maria: I grew up taking photos of everything, but definitely not good photos! I think as social media has progressed, I’ve learned what good content looks like & also what kind of photos/videos I like to look back on to have the most fond memories! Creating actual content is a bit newer to me, but I have so much fun doing it and really getting to express that creative side of myself!

Sierra: I have always had an obsession with cameras and taking pictures. My cousin and I would vlog before vlogging was really a thing. Once I got social media, I was instantly hooked on creating content and posting, and my style has definitely evolved over time! I just think it’s so fun to capture my life and be creative.

What got you interested in creating content?

Maria: Having a best friend who is so creative played a huge role in my starting to create content! Anyone who knows Sierra knows that she has such a natural gift for capturing the best moments. It’s sort of something that I just started doing (maybe because of the huge amounts of time we spend together), it just felt natural to start capturing more things that made me happy.

Sierra: My older sister would make a family video every year and I loved getting to watch those. I started creating content as a journal so that I could look back and relive memories. I get so excited thinking about showing my kids all of the fun videos I’ve made throughout my life!

You both work in social media. Can you each break down what a typical “day in the life” looks like.

Maria: In a full DITL fashion, I always start my day by going to the gym because I know I’ll be spending a large amount of time every day sitting in front of my computer. I’m usually working the normal 9-5, which is when I spend time building different social media strategies for the company I work for, which specializes in social media marketing for apartments. Whenever possible, as soon as I’m done working, I’m either hanging out with friends or going on a HGW to get some fresh air!

Sierra: Each day looks super different for me. In the summer, I wake up and head to the waterpark. I film content, post on socials, and email our sponsors. I surf on my lunch break and I also help a swimwear brand and boat rental place with content, so I always have something I need to film. Working in social media feels non-stop, but I am super thankful for how flexible I get to be with my schedule. After work I swim in the lake and hang out with friends!

Favorite thing about Arizona vs Washington?

Maria: For Arizona, my favorite thing is tanning year-round! Nothing better than lying by the pool in November and then being back at it in January. For Washington, the scenery and the people. We grew up in a valley, so I always miss the hills & all the greenery. My whole family is in Washington, so it always warms my heart to be back with them.

Sierra: Washington will always be home. I love the people and there is so much to do. Washington has the most gorgeous lakes and mountains, so I love doing anything outside while I am there. I have never been the biggest fan of winter and being cold, so living in Arizona has been so fun! I love tanning in February and not getting seasonal depression.

How has Dupe helped you creatively? (Building community, finding inspiration, ugc deals, etc)

Maria: Dupe has been a LIFE SAVER in my job! Finding good stock these days is almost impossible, and Dupe has the most amazing UGC ever. It’s also helped me to learn more about content creation by working with different brands and finding out more about eye-catching content.

Sierra: Dupe is such a fun community and I love scrolling for inspo. The content on there is so fun and unique. I love seeing everyone’s perspectives and getting ideas from other creators.
